CLOSING OUT 2007
Here we are at the end of 2007 already! Seems like just yesterday, I was writing 2000 on my check for the first time. So, I decided to sit down and write a final newsletter for the year. After much thought, I've decided it might be my last newsletter, period. Read RAMBLINGS way down at the bottom for details on that subject and how you can help me decide whether to continue or not.
The two main things I've got for this newsletter are a few great online links and some info on several interesting (I think) website changes that I've done recently.
First, for what it's worth, I was able to rescue my 400 online photos from our 2001 European trip. When Yahoo! Photos shut down, I thought I'd lost them, but I've been able to transfer them, plus all from Travel Log Chapters 1-35, to a website called Shutterfly.com. You'll see the reference and how to get to them when you next go to HoffmanTravels.com. Probably not as exciting for you as for me, but I'd really hate to lose those memories. I've got a copy somewhere on some hard disk, but I think they're on my old computer in the closet and I don't really know if it even works anymore.
Next, a really great online joke that I sent out to a number of friends. Have you seen the dog cleaning your computer screen? If not, be sure to check it out. It's really great! hmmm .. that's too bad .. I just checked and it appears to no longer be there. For those who missed it, it was a view of a Pug licking a computer screen, as seen from inside the computer. If you find it, let me know.
Next, what's advertised as a Boomer joke, but one that's probably more valid for our age group. Great animation with great music ... a real hoot!
Finally, a website with a cute Christmas countdown. If you forget how far away Christmas is, this will help you out. Not sure what happens to it on Dec 26th :)
November Travel: Took a short RV trip to a Central Florida park to talk about WiFi and they fixed me up with a fantastic campsite. Check it out in Travel Log Chapter 85, referenced below in LATEST SITE UPDATES.
Upcoming Travel: So, we were going to visit Disneyworld (only 30 minutes away), but decided that probably involved more walking and more crowds then we wanted. Then thought about St. Augustine, with the ulterior motive of visiting a park that needs WiFi, but that fell through also. Looks like we'll be around the house until New Years, when we plan to drive down to Ft. Lauderdale to visit Joyce's son Steve, who's locally famous for cooking up a genuine Southern meal of hog jowls, black-eyed peas, and whatever else is required on New Years Day. I hear he feeds somewhere around 100 local folks every New Years, so I'm looking forward to seeing how that goes.
Read on for notes on my latest site updates, some words about how I'd make some money if you guys would buy something off the website, IOTR News, Art News, and wrapping up with my RAMBLINGS on whatever occurs to me between now and then.

FEATURED WEBSITE
- Well, it's really late and I don't have any special website in mind. How about if I send you to Robert-Hoffman-Consulting.com, where you'll find a list of all the websites I currently maintain. Most are done for $10 a month, some of the busier commercial sites are $30 a month, and I'd love to do one for you if you have the need.

TRYING TO MAKE A FEW BUCKS
Here's a list of some interesting products, some of which will make me a few bucks if you need them and buy them here:
- Camp at Half of What Everyone Else is Paying! No home park, no monthly maintenance fees, no long-term obligation, just pay the small annual fee and camp for half-price. Check it out here.
- Earn Money While You Camp! Join WiFiRV as an affiliate, either a lead generator (tell us about campgrounds that need WiFi) or a sales representative (assist in the selling of WiFi systems). Go to my Internet On The Road (IOTR) / WiFiRV page http://www.wifirv.com/assoc/iotr/ to learn how you can earn up to $500 for a few hours work.

ART NEWS
I talked here last month about Joyce's Heritage Isle Art Show and how she won the third place ribbon for her painting "Cowboy" and I talked about it again in my Travel Log Chapter 85, so I won't talk about it here again :)
We try to update http://www.ArtbyJHoffman.com whenever we can. If you see anything on the site that you'd be interested in buying, email Joyce for info on size, price, etc. Some have that info included and some don't. Also, if you have a topic, pet, or whatever that you'd like an original painting of, just let her know.

INTERNET ON THE ROAD (IOTR) NEWS
Not much new to say here, since I just did a newsletter in November. The snowbirds are starting to return to our parks in Florida and Texas, so usage is increasing. This means more income, but also potentially more problems, as some of the systems occasionally get overwhelmed by the large number of users. Sort of a good news, bad news situation, but the kind of problem you don't mind seeing. Certainly better to have too many users than none :)

RAMBLINGS
Well, here we are, possibly on the last Ramblings of the last newsletter. I'm seriously considering stopping the newsletters and going on to other pursuits. It really depends upon the reactions I get from you readers. I'd appreciate it if you'd take the time to go read that new Blog entry "Closing Out 2007 - Sell 50 or Stop Wasting Time" and give me your feedback as indicated there. Depending on the response, I may or may not see you back here in 2008.
Have a great holiday season or, as I say on my RetirementTips.com home page, HAPPY EVERYTHING!
