1959 Oldsmobile - (1961-1962) Photos taken by Bob Hoffman at home in Tallahassee in about 1962. As I recall, I traded the 1956 Ford convertible for this car, but am not sure what happened later. I guess I must have just sold this when I decided to get the Volvo. Neatest thing about this car was that it had a decent-sized V8, moved along nicely, yet still got a whopping 22 miles per gallon! Always amazed me that a car this large could get that kind of mileage. As I mentioned in the Pontiac writeup, I owned this at the same time as the 1959 Pontiac. Not sure why I thought I needed two cars. Just did it because I could, I guess. Mouse over the photo to get a front view.
