1979 Pontiac - (1979-1992) Photos found on the internet. Mine was actually blue when new, but looked much like this photo. Bought it new in 1979, took it to Huntsville, AL in 1981, loaned it to my daughter when Joyce and I took the RV trip in 1984, then had to get it painted and re-upholstered when we returned. Since I was paying to have it "made-over", I decided to get it painted black with a white interior. I had them paint all of the exterior black, including the chrome, and tinted the windows very dark. Then I got a white velour interior for contrast. I thought it looked really cool, but some of my associates at work thought it was a bit outlandish. Whatever ... I really enjoyed that car and had a good time with it. It had a 308 ci engine, ran like hell, and would cruise at 85 all day long. I had it for 13 years off and on, making it the longest I'd had a car. I ran the odometer way over 100,000, but the speedometer died at some point so I really wasn't sure of the exact mileage. I believe I ultimately sold it for about $600 when Joyce and I were ready to leave on our 1992 RV trip.
